The decision by Calderdale Council to refuse planning permission for The Sainsbury Supermarket goes against the majority of Todmorden Residents whom most certainly want the development of the store to go ahead. We as a family go out of town to do our monthly shop spending well over £100.00.You dont have to stand at any of the three main arteries into the town and wait very long before you will see Tesco,Asda and Ocado (Waitrose) delivery vans coming into Todmorden from out of town Supermarkets delivering their goods. So please SAINSBURYS appeal against the diabolicle decision by our so called councillors in Halifax, and let us hope that god willing they reverse the decision.
All of the existing parties seem to have a degree of baggage attached to them, most of it unwanted and enough to make you think ‘well I’m not voting for them because..’.
It’s the same on a national scale and a new party at that level is also required.
I’m thinking of setting up the CSP – ‘Common Sense Party’. I’ll make every decision based on the sole principal of common sense, It’s a sure fire winner, will you vote for me?
